Each diagnostic usually contains 3 sections:
- Demographic section
- Evaluation section
- Free text - qualitative section
Demographic Section
This section asks the respondents questions about themselves. For example- please indicate your location, or
- please indicate your position within the organisation, or
- please indicate the department you work in
Evaluation Section
Contains a series of questions grouped under key themes such as communication, leadership, service, teamwork, innovation etc. Respondents are asked to rate each question on 2 scales: firstly the importance of the issue to them and secondly how the organisation performs. The importance/performance rating allows an organisation to prioritise the actions they intend to take as a consequence of the diagnostic. The questions are developed in conjunction with the client using proQualis' extensive question libraries, to ensure the most relevant issues are covered.
Free Text - Qualitative Data
This section usually appears at the end of the diagnostic and asks the respondent a number of open ended questions about their experience of the organisation. For example:- What do you like about the organisation?
- What 3 suggestions do you have, which if implemented, would cause you to rate the organisation higher?
In addition othere approaches to the collection of qualitative data such as adjective checklists are available. For example:
- Please select 3 of the adjectives below which best describe the values of the organisation?
